Scenario: Following a devastating series of tornadoes which ripped through 2 midwest states, the local hotel and rental sector has proved inadequate for housing the affected population, and one of the contracted prime contractors is tasked with installing a minimum of 500 mobile homes or travel trailers on householders own land, or existing trailer parks. 

The prime contractor uses the MX Contractor Portal to mobilize the required mix of qualified inspectors, haulers, electricians, carpenters, and plumbers. The subcontractors are automatically badged in advance of arriving on-site and ready to hit the ground running. 

Meanwhile the MX: Temporary Housing module is automatically receiving and uploading the work orders from the authorities, initially for inspections to confirm site suitability, and subsequently the haul and install of the temporary housing units. 

With the challenging deadlines required, the complex set of activities and external dependencies required to install are tracked via mobile updates from the field, and holdups outside of the contractor’s control are immediately captured in the field and notified to the prime and the authorities in real time. 

Automated reports from MX allow the prime to bill the authorities with minimal fuss, and dashboards allow both the prime and the authorities to monitor progress in real-time. As installed units are handed over to the applicants, MX automatically triggers scheduled maintenance inspections, and allows occupants to raise defects directly in the system, reducing back-office workload.
